Dear visitor looking for the best wedding venues in Budapest,
While more and more couples PLANNING THEIR DESTINATION WEDDING IN HUNGARY prefer to find a wedding venue away from the hustle and bustle of the capital — at dedicated event venues in the greener outskirts, often with accommodation included, which tend to be booked out months and in some cases YEARS in advance — there are still many of you who, for practical reasons, choose to look for a wedding venue within Budapest.

We’d like to help you with that by highlighting some of our favorites, along with a few TRULY SUBJECTIVE keywords for each.
As experienced masters of ceremonies AND wedding celebrants in Hungary – who always pay attention to the details, we can wholeheartedly recommend any of the venues below. Each Budapest venue listed here is reliable, professional, and high-quality. Their styles vary, but if you choose well, you can relax knowing you’ll have excellent service and hospitality in a place that’s truly suited for a great wedding party.
IMPORTANT / DISCLAIMER: This is a completely subjective list – ranging in style and cost from basic and easily affordable options – to ultra luxury wedding venues.
We know every wedding venue listed here personally, but since we haven’t worked at every single wedding venue in Budapest (which would be physically impossible), this list isn’t exhaustive. So there are surely great places that could be added but we haven’t yet had the chance to work with them as professionals. We’ve marked our personal top picks with a star or two — but it’s up to you to know exactly what you want, from maximum capacity and style to catering and interior design. Still, the “starred” venues are truly unique in some way.

And if you’ve only recently decided to plan your wedding for 2026 or even 2027, this (short but growing and regularly updated) list will definitely come in handy.
We haven’t written long descriptions for each venue, though we certainly could have. To make things easier to navigate, we’re keeping it to keywords for quick inspiration. We leave it to you to check out any venue that sounds interesting — with love. 🙂
Let’s see the list:

- Városliget Café – Right by the ice rink with a lakeside view (in summer).
- VIRTU Restaurant ** – or the rooftop terrace above: The Sky Deck – The Highest Point in Budapest – you can have your wedding in true luxury, with a great fine service experience – 120 meters above the city!

+1 — Daalarna Garden ()** – A new favorite that deserves a spot here — although technically closer to Szentendre, it will be one of the “top-tier” venues for 2025. Lavender fields, a pool, and a charming event house built with “sustainable luxury” in mind make this a little paradise.

I’ve had the chance to work personally at these Budapest venues and test out not only the facilities but also the professionalism, helpfulness, and cooperation of the staff. They suit a wide range of wedding styles, from barefoot boho to black-tie — but each one delivers genuine, quality service, which is what matters most.

As an insider, I can confidently recommend them — you won’t be disappointed with these Budapest wedding venues.
Of course, this list will likely expand in the future (in both directions — this is already an updated version), as more and more exciting new wedding venues open in Budapest. A few interesting new spots have popped up recently too, and once we’ve had the chance to test them “live,” we’ll be back with updates. 🙂
